Extreme Damage
It is not always possible to correct problems, but occasionally the conservator gets lucky and the problems of abuse, neglect, storage and accident can be reversed. These illustrations are not the typical work of a conservator as the preferred direction is to avoid restoration through on-going care and maintenance. Over the past fifty years, these are some of the challenges of restoration.
